Put your training sessions in your diary
I have asked the participants doing the 8 week “New You” program in the park to make an effort to attend 3 training sessions a week. The reason I have asked them to train 3 times a week is because I want to get them RESULTS.
How can you make sure you will attend training 3 times a week? Here is the secret:
On Sunday night look at the week ahead and think about when you will be able to train. Open your diary, your calendar on your phone or whatever tool you use to keep track and block out the times you will be at fitness training – the same way you would do for a doctor’s appointment or a meeting. Nothing else should be scheduled at this time – its not an option.
It is a simple matter of treating your own health and well being as if it is IMPORTANT and not something that can be put on the back burner for when you have time. You will never have time if you take that approach. You must schedule your exercise and lock it in.
This is what fit people do – they treat themselves as deserving of a special timeslot reserved just for THEM. It might seem to be a little bit selfish putting yourself first. In reality you are doing everyone a favour by giving them a happy, relaxed, fit and strong version of yourself.
