Davorka’s progress at Dellafit group fitness for women at Rushcutters Bay
Many of you will be familiar with Davorka who started at Dellafit’s fitness classes for women at Rushcutters Bay shortly after we were allowed back in the park last year.
Davorka was very nervous about starting with us as it had been a while since she had done much training. But she fronted up and then kept turning up. Strength and fitness, boxing and yin yoga – Davorka does it all. She is also working on her nutrition – changing habits little by little. It is not just about the new levels of fitness we are seeing or efforts to improve her nutrition. What is really noticeable is the change in Davorka’s confidence levels and her attitude to training.
When Davorka started I could see that she had lost faith in her own abilities. Now I see a strong quietly confident woman who is moving towards a goal. She is a big part of our community and everyone comments on her commitment. Sometimes I even have to tell Davorka to slow down a bit and pace herself as she is trying so hard.
We can all learn a bit about how we approach training from Davorka. Her commitment and “never give up” attitude is amazing. I am looking forward to Davorka enjoying some great results.
