Results for Summer program delivers results
Around mid October a group of women signed up to a 7 week program aimed at achieving results in time for summer. One of the things that most of the women did at the start was a fitness test so that we had a benchmark going forward. Many of the women had committed to the 6am sessions – three times a week – and took a little while to hit their stride.
But hit their stride they did! I am happy to report some amazing results. A good example is Mirren who has done our programs in the past and is working her way towards becoming a very fit individual. Mirren’s fitness test included running 2 laps around the outside of Reg Bartley Oval. Her initial test back in October came in at 5 minutes and 2 seconds. You can imagine Mirren’s delight when after 7 weeks of training her time for the test went down to 4 minutes and 22 seconds. Mirren has really ramped it up a level and her time is now right up there with some of our best. Mirren can now also do 12 push ups (on her toes) in 30 seconds.
Anita who trained 3 to 4 times every week also had big improvements. She shaved 30 seconds off her run time. She was delighted with her before and after photos which showed a newly improved profile – her “booty” looks like she has had a bottom lift. (I’m not going to embarrass Anita by publishing the photos). But take my word for it – 7 weeks of squats and lunges has really paid off. We will have to call her “Anita Beyonce” from now on.
For Robyn the change has been to her mood. She wished there was a way we could test everyone’s moods at the start of the program and then compare at the end because she says she is feeling much better and more positive. She is now disappointed when she has to miss a training session for a sick child or her partner being away. When Robyn started at Dellafit she felt out of breath and struggled with a short cardio session. Now Robyn is confident she can tackle anything. Robyn blew us (and herself) away with her recent fitness test going from 4 minutes and 57 seconds down to 4 minutes and 6 seconds. Like Mirren and Anita this time she was able to sprint to the finish line even after a long 2 laps.
