Meet Lindsay member of the month for October

It seems fitting to me that as we head into November where our goal will be to turn up – that we celebrate one of our members who always turns up. Lindsay attends our sessions at least 3 times a week. She is a busy mum of 2 young boys and she also has a pretty full on job. She sets the alarm and comes to training at 6am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – almost without fail.
Lindsay is a great example of how consistency WORKS. Before she started our classes Lindsay was into running. Although she was fit – she found that she was lacking in upper body strength and she also wanted to strengthen her legs so that she would avoid injury. Lindsay can now power through 10 push ups on her toes – no worries. How has she managed to achieve this? By turning up again and again and again. Lindsay has built lean muscle by working hard every session on a regular basis.
Lockdown comes along and of course Lindsay did not use it as an excuse to cut back. She had 2 boys at home so that meant home schooling plus working from home. Lindsay got up early and did our zoom classes again – at least 3 times a week. I joked that Lindsay could demonstrate how you did not need much space for our workouts as she did most zoom classes from her tiny kitchen so that the rest of the family could keep sleeping.
Lindsay is setting a great example to her boys – a mum who trains hard and looks after herself. She is a great example of how even busy people with a lot on their plate can be fit and strong if they set up a routine that works for them and stick to it.
So congratulations Lindsay – you are an inspiration to us all!
